Outside body

The Police and Crime Panel is a joint committee of the nine local authorities including Ryedale District Council - it is not an outside body or organisation.  The main purpose of the Police and Crime Panel is to maintain a regular check and balance on the performance of the directly elected Police and Crime Commissioner.

About six meetings a year are held, depending on business requirements. Meetings are at different locations throughout North Yorkshire and York.
