42. Election of Chairman

Resolved
 
That Councillor Mrs V M Arnold be electedChairman of the Licensing Committee for the ensuing year.
 
Councillor Mrs Arnold thanked Members for her election andtook the Chair.
 
 
43. Appointment of Vice Chairman
 
Resolved
 
That Councillor A E Hemesley be appointedVice-Chairman of the Licensing Committee for the ensuingyear.
 
Councillor Hemesley thanked Members for his appointment.
 
 
44. Apology for Absence
 
An apology for absence was received from Councillor MrsFrank.

The minutes of a meeting of the Licensing Committee held on10 April 2008 (previously circulated) werepresented.

50. Licensing Sub Committee Training
 
The Environmental Health Manager reported that it had been aconsiderable length of time since the previous training session onSub Committee procedures had taken place therefore, it wassuggested that a revisit to the training session would bebeneficial and open to all Members of the Committee.
 
Resolved
 
That the Environmental Health Manager makethe necessary arrangements for a Members training session onLicensing Sub Committee procedures.
